Why is there a Clearing Period?
A clearing period refers to the time it takes for a payment transaction to be processed and for the funds to become available for withdrawal.
At Raket.PH, we have a 14-day clearing period. Here's how it works:
- The first 7 days are for our payment gateway partner to process the payment.
- The next 7 days are for Raket to verify the transaction.
During this period, the payment will be verified for authenticity, and our payment processors will confirm that the transaction is legitimate.
The clearing period can vary based on the payment method used, the policies of the payment processor, and the banking institutions involved. It ensures that funds are securely transferred and helps prevent fraud. Once the clearing period is complete, the funds can be withdrawn or used as intended.
Important note: IF a buyer purchases on Raket and pays with PayPal, please note that PayPal has a clearing period of 21-26 days before the funds are released to the seller’s Raket wallet, provided everything goes smoothly. After the release, the seller should be able to withdraw the money easily through their bank accounts or e-wallet.
Here’s how the 21-26 day clearing period works:
- After PayPal confirms the payment, there is a 20-day holding period. This period allows for any disputes to be reported and resolved.
- If no disputes arise during this time, the payment will be transferred to your Raket wallet.
- You can then withdraw the funds in the next disbursement cycle. (1-6 days after the PayPal holding period)
